Why Is Liver Health Important?

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), formerly known as fatty liver disease, is associated with several common health conditions and risk factors, including:

What to Expect During Your FibroScan

FibroScan is simple and comfortable:

  1. Get Comfortable
    You will lie on your back on an examination table with your right side accessible.
  2. Prepare the Area
    A healthcare professional will apply a small amount of water-based gel to the skin over the right side of your rib cage.
  3. Take the Measurements
    The FibroScan probe is gently placed against your skin. The device takes a series of quick measurements of your liver.
  4. Review Your Results
    The measurements are available immediately and will be interpreted by your healthcare provider in the context of your overall health.
